Eleven questions to ask before booking

Review before arrival, then connect the observation to its source, system location, and a written scope.

Start with the condition, not the sales package

A short call can reveal whether the provider begins with evidence or a package. Describe the observation, not your conclusion. Say which rooms are affected, when the system runs, and whether there was water, pests, smoke, or renovation. Then ask the same questions of more than one provider.

Do not share sensitive medical details to justify a service. Duct cleaning has not been shown to prevent health problems. If symptoms are severe or urgent, seek appropriate medical or emergency advice rather than relying on a cleaning salesperson.

What deserves a closer look

Before arrival

Ask for the business name, service area confirmation, inspection fee, cancellation terms, insurance information if relevant, and who will actually arrive.

At inspection

Ask whether findings will be shown before work, how duct material is identified, and whether you can decline the cleaning after inspection.

In the agreement

Ask for component scope, access, method, products, protection, cleanup, price, change approval, result documentation, and correction process.

Move from observation to a written decision

  1. Prepare the facts

Note system count, concern, rooms, recent events, filter condition, and access limits.

  2. Use the same eleven questions

Compare answers instead of sales tone.

  3. Verify important claims

Check business and license information independently.

  4. Request the agreement before work

    Read it without doorway pressure.

Ask about the evidence and the written scope

Sunnyvale Airflow Guide is an independent lead-generation website, not an air duct cleaning company. Calls may connect you with an independent service provider. Service availability, qualifications, pricing, and terms must be confirmed directly with that provider.
